Psychotherapy

Services

I facilitate individual therapy with adults and older adults across California. I offer video and phone sessions only and do not offer in-person sessions. While many individuals prefer to meet once per week, I offer sessions up to 3 times per week for those seeking more frequent, intensive treatment.

Specialties

While I see individuals from all backgrounds and with all many presenting difficulties, I specialize in a handful of presentations that I have an adept knowledge of and skill-base treating. My specialties include relationship difficulties, ADHD, life transitions, gender and sexuality identity, narcissistic traits/personality disorder, depression, and anxiety.

My treatment philosophy

We learn about ourselves and how to relate to others, through relationships. We all carry injuries from relationships in our pasts and often times, those experiences live on in us. They can interfere with how we see ourselves and how we interact with those around us. Also, it’s through genuine relationships that we heal ourselves and our relationships with others.

My approach to psychotherapy is deeply rooted in building and working within an authentic relationship with each individual. Through genuine compassion, curiosity, and understanding, I aim to establish safe relationships which will allow us to engage in a collaborative process in order to address your concerns.

In treatment, I often work with patients to examine longstanding difficulties both with others and within their own selves. Such patterns often leave people feeling misunderstood, empty, lost, unheard, unseen, taken advantage of, angry, or resentful. Many of these struggles have been around for a long time and are often hard to share with others, sometimes to the extent that you may not have ever spoken such things aloud. And that’s okay. We will work together to address what feels important to you at your pace.

Therapy is a collaborative experience where both of us will engage in examining both internal and external struggles. I believe that many of our difficulties arise from our constant attempts to balance our internal and relational needs with demands that work against us. Together, we will examine conscious conflicts while also discovering aspects of your experience that lie outside of your awareness. Psychotherapy can be an excellent place to explore, understand, and address all of these aspects.
